This seems like one opportunity given to them to get in line. There is definitely going to be an expansion in 4-5 weeks. Many allies will be given more MoS berths and some states will get more representatives from BJP. As for bad choices, I think the likes of Kalraj Mishra (really bad choice IMO), Najma Heptullah etc may be removed in 1-2 years. Giving Jaitley two portfolios was bad decision. I hope I m missing them. Jaitley is Finance Minister. In all probability they haven't got any good enough for defense so he has been given additional charge of Defense but in the Cabinet expansion I am 100% sure we will have a full time defense minister.

Also, its his first time in politics - he will find it very difficult to directly handle such a heavy portfolio. He has been made MoS Independent Charge of North-East and External Affairs. I think Nyemphu Rio (3 time CM of Nagaland and currently MP) should be made cabinet Min for North-Esst while Gen. VK Singh MoS for Defense.
cowboysfan Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 will she take up the river linking project? river linking,am i the only one who thinks this is a bad idea? the environmental impact could be catastrophic.building canals and reservoirs seems like a safer approach.for example here in the US the predatary carp fish is wiping out local fishes completely in many of the great lakes and rivers too.

But I can see that Modi wants to do some appeasement politics. I think this is golden opportunity for getting in people like Sreedharan and Shourie. These are great minds that will transform India.
