Number Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 This maha result is somewhat of a jolt for shah and co.they should learn from this result and play more smartly in a four way election for up Its just an expectation wise bad result. Going solo first time, where they have played second fiddle and coming out single largest almost double of second is not a jolt. Add up Cong+NCP count vs SS+BJP count in these seats and I am sure that the difference would be huge in favor of the latter... Yes, that's right. BJP's vote share has almost doubled.
FischerTal Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 rajiv shukla saying 4-6 months after LS elections, modi factor will be there a bit to influence state elections while his party trolls on twitter were quick to say no modi factor after UP by poll elections :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
Number Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 surprised that bhupinder hooda lost so badly. 1983-2011 where are u? :shout: I think non-INLD votes polarized in favor of BJP and shifted from Congress. People still remember goonda raj of Chautala.
bulbul Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 This is the most interesting election in recent times..i guess we are never going to see 5 way contests in future.
Texan Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 This maha result is somewhat of a jolt for shah and co.they should learn from this result and play more smartly in a four way election for up How is this a jolt? If they had stuck with the alliance, they would have been getting much lesser seats than they have now because they would have been contesting only 119 seats. SS would have benefited from the BJP vote. Now, BJP has sent a clear cut message that it is the alpha dog in MH.
bulbul Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 If BJP & SS contested together results should have been like this BJP 85 from 119 SS 80 from 150 :cantstop:
Number Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 People don't realize how big this is. This result could possibly (infact it certainly will) push muslims to spring up their own parties in states with significant muslims populations. Which is basically a precursor to call for separate electorate (as with AIML in the 30s). Muslims are starting to lose faith in the so called "secular" parties. "Communal Harmony" is about to go for a toss. True. They can win a lot of seats in UP assembly. Thankfully that will mean an end to SP.
FischerTal Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Vote share % : bjp 33' date='ncp 19,sena 19 ,cong 16[/quote'] :WTF:
Yoda-esque Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 True. They can win a lot of seats in UP assembly. Thankfully that will mean an end to SP. Will take any party over the MIM
adi B Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 If BJP & SS contested together results should have been like this BJP 85 from 119 SS 80 from 150 :cantstop: No.bjp would have won 90,sena +alliance 100
FischerTal Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 still don't know why AAP didn't contest in haryana
surajmal Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Vote share % : bjp 33' date='ncp 19,sena 19 ,cong 16[/quote'] Makes no sense.
Yoda-esque Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Makes no sense. On the contrary it does make perfect sense.People's loyalties are divided between BJP and SS.
surajmal Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 still don't know why AAP didn't contest in haryana Kejritard is going to assume the only role he knows best: professional agitator, after AAP gets a hammering in Delhi.
adi B Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Tajdeep Said that by the time counting finishes, bjp will finish with 125
FischerTal Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Kejritard is going to assume the only role he knows best: professional agitator' date=' after AAP gets a hammering in Delhi.[/quote'] haryana and punjab are the only places their party can realistically expand outside of delhi. oh well who cares
