MundaPakistani Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Why would they leave out Malinga for Maharoof! Especially when cricinfo says this for the pitch: Australia were sent in on pitch with green tinges. I'm pretty sure they will regret making this mistake the thing with Mahroof is that he tries to hit the pitch so he will be able to seam the ball on a green pitch while Malinga doesn't use the pitch as much f and relies heavily on swing and pace( still don't think that it is the correct decision)
Donny Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 0/39. Hayden 32* (So selfish! Doing all the scoring. ) Jaques 7*
Cricketics Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 lanka to lose on day 4 as we might get to see some poor weather
MundaPakistani Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 by dropping Malinga SL have made a disgusting attempt to kill the prestigious culture of extreme pace and reverse swing hence now i am rooting for AUS.
The Outsider Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 :hysterical::hysterical: "We'll try to be positive" brigade opts to take the field with an aim to strengthen their tail, deny their best bowler the last use of the surface, all because of slightly overcast conditions.
Cricketics Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 lol i pity lankans really. why did they put in aus.. haha poor chapz.. now face the inning defeat with a follow on as a bonus..
Donny Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Murali into the game! Catches Hayden. Out for 43 to Vaas. 1/69.
The Outsider Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 The only way to get Ponting early in the kind of form that he is in, is by having Malinga and Murali bowl in tandem. Funnily enough one guy is not playing and the other not bowling.
King Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I still cant believe the morons dropped him for the stoopid fack Greatroof  I still cannot believe they won the toss and decided to bowl. They said they are going to play tough cricket, not afraid of pace and bounce but they opt to bowl. Naseer Hussain did this few years ago and got a thrashing. It says the mindset the Lankans are in playing the Aussies. Plainly put their batsmen were afraid to face the Aussies on this pitch.
Cricketics Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 trying to be tought and be oversmar.. this time they would have to pay.. and murali is in now.. and crowd is on their feet.. wow aussie aussie aussie oye oye oye
Mr. Wicket Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 If Jaques keeps this up, it'll be the Sri Lankan bowlers who'll be afraid to face him on any pitch. :D
The Outsider Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Fernando thinking he is bowling on a 15 yard pitch.:hysterical:
Mr. Wicket Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 And now he brings up his 50 with a superb pull shot off Fernando. Awesome!
Cricketics Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Jaques has 50 now.. whacks one and reaches 50 in style 1/121 Aus, ownage has begun
The Outsider Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Fernando just whispered in Murali's ears, "it's a 15 yard pitch" and Murali obliged.
