Stuart Binny is a legend

he was no scapegoat, he was useless then and i still dont think he is that good. you need an opener who once is set can score big hundreds unlike our Uttapam. This guy on his good day can get you 50 runs but he stinks rest of the way.
Let him play on flat pitches like others. FYI, he was not played as an opener back then. He batted lot in lower middle order.

He was dropped for no reason in 2008 after team collapsed against Mendis. He was made scapegoat. He had plated a crucial role in our CB series win in 2008 when he opened with SRT in finals and gave us good starts.
he was going down in his attitude at that time.playing too many reverse sweeps, being flashy on the field with no performnaces.he was listless in his displays. whereas suresh raina pushed himself to consistent performances and established himself. but I certainly didn't expect him to be out for six years then.i thought he would come back sooner. both selectors and uthappa played a role in nearly ruining his career. selectors should have marked him out as an important prospect and invested heavily in his development considering his unique value as an exceptional striker. they left him out in the cold for too long on the other hand, he was slow in learning and constructing his innings.played stupid shots at the wrong time. didn't know when and how to attack while staying longer.didn't figure out issues quickly. he was starting to look like ishant. he was unlucky with injury and fitness as well. dhawan and rayudu themselves have struggled over the years.' all guys from that 2004 batch have struggled to rise quickly to international level. but rayudu and uthappa have certainly worked on their game in the last year and now its a golden chance to finally prove it.

He is a front foot puller like Yuvraj but not a good player of short pitch bowling. Nohit is one guy he can replace in odis but nohit has better technique and more range of shots than him.

it looked binny was getting some seam movement , he was bowling wide of crease and seaming it away, if he can do that consistently , he should be ok for 5th bowler but he is not good enough with bat to be fifth bowler. You need a guy like mathews or Ganguly but this guy bats more like tailender and he is not good enough to be in the team as bowler alone.

Why not? Cause of better English batting or cause you think conditions won't be the same as here or cause you just think he is total cr@p?

Binny doesn't warrant a place in the side as an out and out 3rd seamer....god help us if that happens....as a batsman he is even worse than Jadeja. Atleast with Jaddu for a while he was our premier spinner during the Aus series and C.T in England which got him a shot along with being the best fielder in the world.
