Donald does not have a good record as a coach. He was a great bowlers. Usually great players do not translate into great coach. For me' date=' Jason Gillespie can be very good. He has done it as a coach at County level and was not as gifted but knows how to reach that level.[/quote'] even Donald did well with Warwickshire IIRC.County level cant be used to judge much.

Because McGrath has other things to do.
Huh? This proposal requested by McGrath.
The MRF Pace Academy in Chennai, where McGrath is currently working as director, has submitted a proposal to the BCCI, which if accepted, will help the two bodies work in tandem. According to the plan, a selected few bowlers working with the Nation Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore will be sent to MRF where they will be trained under the supervision of McGrath. McGrath, who represented Australia in 124 Tests, 250 ODIs and 2 T20 internationals, termed it as a good chance to work with the young crop of Indian bowlers. "It will be a great opportunity. I would love to work with the young Indian crop," McGrath told Times of India.

Yeah that's not really hiring McGrath since he is under the MRF Pace Academy. That's just getting some cricketers to learn off him like how players go to Bedi and Healy for example. The proposal wouldn't mean he is an employee of the BCCI like Dawes. I mean all keepers that generally tour Australia always go to Healy for advice. Prasanna, Ramdin, Akmal (after he messed up but it makes no difference), Prior even got some help but he is not hired by CA or any cricketing body.

Joe Dawes is not doing a bad job either. shaim and bhuvi improved a lot under him. in yesterdays interview mohit sharma said davis helped him improve his speed. aaron was out most of the time due to injury and pandey is a new comer. negatives being umesh yadav still continuing to be raw and not fixing ishants wrist position.
