Vilander Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Indian football finally gets some attention from Ambani and Star this time, good times are around the corner for indian football fans who want to see the abysmal 150 turn to some respectable 80 odd.. The Indian Super League is the name of a new, proposed football league in India by IMG-Reliance (a joint venture of IMG and Reliance Industries) and the All India Football Federation. It is set to kick-off in September 2014 and finish its first season in November of that year.[1] The league is expected to run along the lines of the Indian Premier League and Major League Soccer of the United States. The eight cities which were selected to host teams are Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai,Chennai and Pune. Chennai in place of Bangalore, hoping Bangalore franchise gets a nod in the next season.
