express bowling
Beautiful outswing by Aaron at 149 k. Loud appeal of caught behind...but turned down. Link to comment

express bowling
Aaron bowled 145+ consistently in last spell Bowled 144 to 150 k consistently during his second spell. That is very impressive in a test match. If only he can be more consistent with his line and length ..... Link to comment

bharat297
I'm surprised Umesh Yadav was not picked ahead of Mohammad Shami. I can understand if it was someone like Bhuvaneshwar, because he provides control. But Shami seems to be just as wayward as Umesh (and about 5-10km/h slower). Plus Umesh has some experience (including some success) on Australian pitches. Link to comment
express bowling
Aaron gets his second wicket with a ball that bounced extra outside off stump. He lacked control today but is a wicket taker. Link to comment
express bowling
Shami bowls Lyon after a rare disciplined spell. Link to comment

BlueBee
Umesh should have been there ahead of Shami Link to comment
express bowling
I would have taken Umesh in the place of Shami mainly because Umesh showed control + pace in SL ODIs. Whereas Shami has lacked control in the recent past. Pace of both have been somewhat similar ... Umesh quicker by a bit. Link to comment
BlueBee
Umesh can bowl much faster. He was trying to gain control which he did. After bowling with control for sometime he can catch up on his usual pace. Link to comment

Umesh is quicker off the pitch also.its better he comes in brisbane or some helpful pitch. Link to comment

bharat297
Because Shami was better in warmup. Fair enough ... but Shami's recent test form has been poor and the main question mark for Umesh over the last couple of years has been fitness. Umesh pulled through the warm up matches ok so I would have picked him. Mind you, Shami bowled much better with the second new ball. Hopefully he can turn things around. Link to comment
express bowling
Aaron's first over today is much better. Good line and length at 142 to 146 k. Link to comment
express bowling
Shami has again looked inconsistent this morning. Not bowled good areas. And Ishant has looked slower than yesterday. Link to comment
