That's right but you got to analyse performance of bowlers rationally.

Philander is the baap of Mark Wood.
That's the problem with people like you and Suhaan , everything is based on speed for you guys.
If you check Philander's record it's way more well rounded than Wood and let's not even compare their impact on test teams success

The thing with these guys who analyse fast bowlers wholly on basis of performance in Asia is that they are the first ones to big up Virender Sehwag , despite his night watchman kinda stats in three out of four SENA countries.

I sont rate Sehwag outside Asia and Australia. He sucks vs swing.

Not comparing h2h with philander. 

Philander would be a goat bowler I'd you judge him by stats. But he is far from it. He stat pads in sena. He thoroughly sucks in Asia. One dimensional can is what he is. 

 

On a lifeless pitch I would pick wood over a proper trundler like philtrundler.

He averages 25 in Australia. 

In England the surface doesn't t suit him. He isn't a trundler like phiktrundler. Only swing trundlers do well in England and nz. 

But we all saw how good other bowlers of englund did in Australia and India.
