No doubt Kartik needs to work on his line and length but these asshole commentators keep talking about his pace in a negative way after each and every ball. Frustrating to hear.

Yeah, asking him to reduce strides and use non bowling arm more is fine. That's a constructive feedback...I wonder why his coaches don't tell him that.

But the dose of faster you bowl, faster you go is pukeworthy.

Arjun Tendulkar went for 50 runs in 4 overs, what story they will cook for him ? He is a rank trundler.

Who's the Hindi commentator? Can't seem to hide his glee when Tyagi is getting smashed and putting him down with that same old line "Faster they come faster they go".

Bro, commentators are Rajdan and Ashok Malhotra.

They were tearing into Tyagi for trying to bowl quick. Saying pace doesn't matter these days etc.  Criticizing him after every ball irrespective of result.

I get the feeling that Rajdan snd Malhotra want to punch and kick Tyagi for being fast.  They would probably have killed him if it were the 14th century and there was no law.

Anyone can see why Indians never had fast bowlers before foreign guidance came in the form of MRF Pace academy etc. and then the IPL.

The hatred in their voice against a young quick guy is apalling.

BCCI doesn't want to change the pathetic nature of the pitch but they rather want young exciting fast bowling kids toturn into knuckle type bowlers

What a farce senile attitude of BCCI?

Even these sticky dead pitches aren't any good to develop hitting ability among batsmen

True pitches are fast and at times bouncy as well, there your quick bouncy  bowlers come into picture, yes variations are needed, not 90% knuckle deliveries

Come the matches in true pitches these knucklers are found out and kill the game there and then for their respective sides

But I saw Razdan was praising Tyagi for being fast and standout in UPt20

I didn't know he's Chameleon

He praised because he was picking wickets left and right.

Had he picked up wickets today as well, Razdan would have kept his mouth shut.

Commentary

Razadan: Kartik Tyagi has the pace, and can trouble any batsman with his pace but he has been inconsistent.

Dahiya: Other than pace, he has so many other variations , but Tyagi somehow doesn't use those. using variations will make him more potent.

Razdan: That has been Tyagi's issue. Pace but inconsistent. To be a complete bowler, he needs to use his variations better

Don't see what is wrong with commentary there.

BTW the same set of commentators have been all praise for Mohsin Khan. Only pointing out deficiencies in Tyagi's bowling, but read some of the comments and you'll feel as if they are abusing Tyagi.

As you said earlier, they want finished products

Tyagi took a hattrick in the UP T20 and he praised him.

But the moment results are not coming, they go after the quick bowlers. But never the faltering medium pacers.

Despite being picking wickets there he was erratic,I liked he still supported him and saw it as refreshing

But quite surprised here to know his words here

At least razdan is mr obvious ,there was a commentator in rajasthan t20 who kept saying days of pace bowling has  long gone but when one of the young quicker bowlers in rajasthan, can't recall his name, took a wicket or beat batsmen with pace, he would just keep quite.

Dahiya is a good commentator usually.

Rajdan and Malhotra's conversion earlier was very disappointing.

They started criticizing Tyagi even before he got hit in his 2nd over.

Tyagi's problem is bowling wrong lines and pointing that out is a fair thing. But trying to imply that his poor lines is because of trying to bowl quick, after almost every ball, does not make any sense.

The fair thing you say is that Tyagi needs to improve his lines and then he can be a handful.

That is his natural pace ,he isn't trying to bowl quick out of his reach

These chetws don't want to understand this,

He will get into his groove without lessening pace, that his natural to him

Line and length is different matter,no relation to pace

He has this habit since u19 days

Need to get into bowling groove more

And try to keep away with t20s as much possible and play longer formats more to improve

T20s are just side games, you need to focus on once you are fixed

Tyagi's issue is too much of short length. He also seems to have lost some bite off his bowling after injury. Earlier, his short balls were a bit awkward to face. This could be due to pitches. But, right now, he isn't the same bowler he was in 2021. Requires more overs under his belt. Not sure if he is interested in playing FC cricket or if is fit enough for last rigours of FC cricket. Let's see.

In another thread I picked him for the T20Is vs Aus after WC. Looks unlikely.

How is he not the same bowlers?just because result aren't coming?

On these pitches you got to bowl slowly, you won't drive a Bugatti on an indian road would you.

It is my opinion that every young pacer, whether he bowls 145 k or 135 k or 125 k, must base their bowling on targeting the top of off stump at their full pace.

Every other delivery is a variation which should be used only when a pacer finds rhythm with the above mentioned stock ball.

And use the base of off stump targeted quick yorker as the stock ball in the slog overs.

If Tyagi does this, he will be a really good bowler given his raw pace and 6'3" height.

He was anyway not going to be picked up.

Trundlers like Mukesh, Avesh, Arshdeep..no matter how much they struggle in internationals will always be the blue eyed boys of our selectors.

I thought team mgmt would have learned the lesson post failures of Harshal, Avesh, Bhuvaneshwar in the T20 WC last year, but the mentality of ridiculing fast bowlers the minute they go for runs isn't going to change.

Quick bowler gets hit .. Indian commentators say that pace is not everything.

Medium pacer gets hit despite bowling in good areas .. rarely have I heard that line and length isn't everything and the low pace is the reason for getting hit.

Swing bowler gets hit .. Never have I heard Indian commentators say that swing isn't everything and other qualities are needed.

Short bowler gets hit and rarely have I heard an Indian commentator say that his low release point and lack of natural bounce is causing a problem.
