usually he would just put the ball. Probably he put in a bit more effort for a change. Someone like Jessie Ryder or McCullum or Faulkner would whack him into the stands. I still think thsi England sid is abysmal against short balls. Cook is a good player of short stuffs. So is Bell. both have others ways to get out . KP is another. But even KP was trapped by Australia by stationing a twp close in fielders on the onsiide. Rest of the guys have very iffy technique.

i am not asking him to use just bouncers but stll once in a while he can slip one high bouncer to keep batsman in check and then push full one he is very tall and playing full balls while being on back foot will be almost impossible and for change this year he has moved the ball little bit so it wont be easy

Maybe there were good reasons why Trent Bridge curator laid out a road, to save England from humiliation of being bounced out. The Lords curator got cocky and England paid the price.

It's about form of batters than full length or short pitched stuff. Same batters when in form played the short balls easily. Cook scored 700+ in Ashes series in Australia few years back. Form is the key.
