Ashwin for Binny. The batting looks a bit light, especially with Dhoni at 6 but Ashwin, Jadeja and Bhuvi are 3 decent lower order batsman. In the SC this team will be difficult to beat, away from home it is a bit vulnerable but India need as many bowling options in the XI as is possible and Ashwin and Jadeja can bowl a lot of overs and give the bowlers a rest .

Kohli will come to the party soon. His failures are surprising given the conditions in TB . We don't need extra batsman since others are in good form. Only if you 4 or 5 batsmen in poor form then you need extra batsman. We had 7 batsmen in both England and Australia tour.. We did not cross 300 even once. It is form that is important not numbers. For bowlers they need some breathing space from time to time. That is where our fifth bowler comes in.

He is not leaving the ball well and he is not used to it (its an important facet of the game in England).he will sooner or later poke one to the slips against Anderson or broad.I think he will have a terrible series unless it swings less and the track is a patta

aaron is a handy bat and is mature like bhuvi. could notch up a match saving innings you never know. tbh we need a solid opening partnership to ease pressure in mid and lower order. plus kohli hasnt scored so we still are owed runs :) therefore id play aaron, bhuvi, shami/pankaj and ishant. with jadeja OR ashwin, not both

With the kind of form England batting is in we don't really need 7 batsmen to outbat them lol . Also their bowling is all about Anderson and Broad.. No genuine spinner. But if bowlers get tired even poor batting sides can capitalize on it.

And people want to pick Aaron? :hysterical: Pankaj Singh is a tall strapping fast bowler who can bowl that fuller length around off stump but also crank up the short pitched stuff for Plan B. If India don't select him for the third test after all weakeness that England has shown then what hell was the point of selecting him?

its not the first time Dhoni has co have carried a fast bowler in the team for the entire 5 match series without giving him a bowl.
