Kohli was never hyped up.he has not performed up to his caliber. Its about playing test matches in home conditions to become mentally strong to play long innings which is necessity of test.but After his debut he has played almost 17 tests overseas out of 31.And he has performed reasonably well with 5 out of 8 centuries overseas.Example Ahmed shehzad has almost played in home except that sl tour and his average is touching 50.so Yess home conditions matters.

Other than that 150 odd in SA Pujara has failed to score a hundred and that is not acceptable from no3 , Kohli too has to become consistent. They both need to score big hundreds or India has no chance to compete.

If we consider the last 4 away tours of South Africa, NZ, England and this Aussie tour --- Kohli has been very consistent in 3 of those 4 tours. Scored 4 centuries. His average has been pulled down by that disastrous tour of England. There , he had developed a technical issue. I am happy that Kohli has bounced back in Australia.

Pujara will come good too. Just a matter of time.
He won't get a chance in the near future. When is the next tough away tour ? Till that time he himself will be under pressure of being dubbed a potential FTB. That is the problem.

That's upto him on how he will cope with it. I think he will come out good
