In our entire test history in England, we played 52 tests before this tour and we managed to win a grand total of 5 test matches. That is 5 test wins since 1932. Did you expect this team which had no prior experience of playing in England to rout the England side one test after another ? Please get a reality check. Some people are acting as if we have always been a great side overseas and now just losing. Its simply not the case. Teams from SC have always struggled in Aus, Eng and SA. I think this team has lots of talent and have done superbly against all odds to win at Lord's. With more experience, I have confidence they will get even better and perform consistently overseas. Kohli, Pujara, Rahane have batted brilliantly in SA, NZ without much experience overseas which is never the case for batsmen from SC. Bhuvi got 18 wickets in his first tour of England. These are all good signs. We will have setbacks when we tour overseas but I think over time, we will improve and become a really good side.

England also was at it's most weakest 2) Most of India's wins have come in the last decade, where we have been on an upward swing 3) We may lose or not, but it is the lack of the effort and basics which hurt more. Along with lack of hunger. If they had given their best and lost not one person would complain about the young team I agree completely to the positives. But it is no co-incidence all of those positives including Bhuvi's performance happened in the first couple of matches, Dhoni couldn't keep the team motivated, there was no plan to have enough bowlers in the squad to rotate them I completely agree with the talent and future prospects of Pujara, Kohli, Rahane as well as Umesh, Aaron and Bhuvi. We will be on track soon.

They only managed to win 2 but how many did they lose? Sachin has 10 matches in win draw and only 7 in loses in England. Out of those 7, 4 came in the last 4-0 whitewash under Dhoni at the end of his career. Before that, his record was only 3 loses, 2 wins and 8 draws. How many of those loses were by innings or within 3 days? As I said it is not the loses, but the manner of the loses

You have a short memory or lack of knowledge of cricket history. Indian team which had Sachin, Dravid, Ganguly etc got bowled out for 100 and 66 in a test match in South Africa in 96. We got whitewashed in Australia in 99 and never put up a fight, whitewashed in SA in 2006 and whitewashed in 2011 in Eng, Aus. Overseas losses are not uncommon for India.

They were a dreadful side in the 90s and yet India couldnt win a single test against them. I think we should be patient with this side when they are playing overseas. They have the potential and will take some time to adapt and become consistent. I feel some people are going overboard with their criticism.

Not true. Traditionally, Aus, SA and Eng have been tough places for SC teams. India, Pak have each won only 5 tests in Aus and 2 tests in SA. India have won 6 tests in England while Pak won 9. Sri Lanka have won much less. Eng has also struggled in India. Only Aus and SA have done bit better all around the world.

Agree about other points,but it shouldn't require a captain or coach to motivate players to give their best shot in Test cricket
