special K Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Just my honest and sincere observation, but one thing about India is they always had world class batsmen and dud bowlers. You could have a few pie throwers when you had greats like Gavaskar, Tendulkur, Dravid etc... But now there no batting talent. Pakistan have always been the reverse with crap batters but world class bowlers but they too now, and just producing chuckers and fixers. But India now not producing world class batsmen or bowlers, well this tells you Indian cricket is going back to they way it was in the 1930's. India should probably give up on test cricket, give it to more talented countries like Ireland. I guess if you take out the years between 1980-2010, India was always a minnow. Only 30 years of reasonable success says it all.
Austin 3:!6 Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 C'mmon I know we are emotional country but don't be so naive

Worst case scenario - if the BCCI really feel that India are no good at test cricket and TV viewership in India is dwindling, they will just kill that format. I really do hope that doesn't happen, and that we comes back stronger in test cricket.
vvvslaxman Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 England should stop playing against Australia after 0-5 and give chances to talented teams like Ireland oh wait.. they are all part of England.. But for South Africa/Ireland/Scotland/Australia poaching England would be equivalent to bermuda.
SLICKR392 Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Well, at least we are playing 11 Indians on the field.
G_B_ Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 the same BD that beat England in the last WC? http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc_cricket_worldcup2011/engine/current/match/433585.html
Marut Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Not just India. Most teams today are notoriously bad visitors. If England tour India now, and now that they don't have KP, the chances that they would be utterly destroyed is high. BCCI is so mad after money that they keep pitting India against the big boys away - four successive tours against SA, NZ, Eng and Aus isn't fun for any team. Only Oz and SA are capable of handling that stress right now.

undisputed chap Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 It's high time we had a dominant era of our own.
Pagalpanti Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 England have 0 world cup to show for a game they invented.. They should just give up the sport altogether then..
