Ravi Shastri set to invite Boycott to talk with Indian team

Team director of Indian cricket for the ODIs and T20I against England, Ravi Shastri, is looking to invite former opening batsman, Geoffrey Boycott, to give tips to young batsmen. Boycott, is known to pick up flaws in a batsman's technique quickly. Indian batsmen struggled to find form during the just concluded Test series against England. In fact, most of them struggled to show the required technique and temperament to come good in alien conditions. "In the commentary box, Geoffrey [boycott] is quick to pick up the plus and minus points among batsmen. I call the old man the fastest 'fielder' among us, who is quick to spot a flaw. For his age (73), he is very sharp," Shastri was quoted as saying by mid-day. Shastri continued by saying, "I wanted to find someone, who has seen the team playing the Test series and this will help a great deal when it comes to analysing the batsmen. I will approach him straight-away when we reach Yorkshire." It has to be remembered though, that Duncan Fletcher, India's present coach and Boycott don't exactly get along well. :wall: so wtf is Fletcher doing last 3 years if we are now resorting to bringing consultants on the whimp to address technical issues?! First Dravid, now Boycott, lol BCCI should just bite the bullet and sack Fletcher and pay him his compensation.

are they going to understand what he is going to say? Some of these boys are not fluent in English. Let alone Boycotts heavy accent. This is one major issue i have with forign coaches. Can they communicate with boys from tier 2/3 cities who dont have a good command over english?
