asterix Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 You don't drop someone like Kohli in one dayers for a duck. Actually dropping him will be a good idea... He's not going to get any batting form in this series... He should be asked fake any injury and take a break...
adi B Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Actually dropping him will be a good idea... He's not going to get any batting form in this series... He should be asked fake any injury and take a break... i was thinking the same :cantstop:.kohli is mentally shot,be it odis or t20s,kohli aint gonna score on this tour,at max a scratchy 30 odd.he is gonna come stronger after taking some time out

He will be given enough chances to come back. We have given so many chances to Ishant, Rohit .. so a guy like Kohli deserves lot more. He might fail. But it is important to continue faith in such players.
G_B_ Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 no this remained me of the champions trophy captaincy.
Midfielder Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Kohli needs to be on the side lines. Raydu needs to play. Sampson is not ahead of raydu. Kohli has some issues he need to sort out but having more failures will make it worse.
Midfielder Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Yup. we were like what we were in Tests in the last 3 tests. Another top order collapse. Who should open in your opinion? I say Rahane or Manan though he is not in the team.
vvvslaxman Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Who should open in your opinion? I say Rahane or Manna though he is not in the team. Opening should be good enough to pinch singles. Getting stuck at one end always causes top order collapses. Rightnow neither of these guys are good in that. But unfortunately not much option for us rightnow. Rahane i am not sure.

undisputed chap Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Ideally while we need to be 40/1 at worst in the first 10 overs & build from there.
jf1gp_1 Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Guy have never lost anything important as odi captain so not sure what's wrong in his captaincy to begin with
suraj Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Guy have never lost anything important as odi captain so not sure what's wrong in his captaincy to begin with lol- depends on what you consider important fact is that unless its world cup India can win a 1000 ODIs & tonty tontines but they are all useless if they keep getting humiliated in England, SA and Aus repeatedly ( & BTW England humbled us in India too) I count an overseas test series win against the prime nations more important than anything else except the WC and India has been a total failure under Dhoni in that Having said that the fact is that there is no top player in India devoted to succeeding in tests as a player- leave alone captaincy so we are screwed in tests for the longest time to come
Midfielder Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Guy have never lost anything important as odi captain so not sure what's wrong in his captaincy to begin with T20 loss was on him. If the ODI history started yesterday I would agree but this moron has lost a lot. He does not approach the game scientifically and goes with guts and that does not work.
undisputed chap Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 His persistence with Rohti sharma' date=' Ishant sharma took years to pay off. only to last just few tests. But with Kohli we won't have to wait that long. He is a serious talent going through a slump.[/quote'] Its not just one duck. He has been pathetic in England throughout this tour. Yes he is a talent. But he is seriously out of form. Shastri needs to talk to him to take some time off here. He needs it. I would rest both Bk & Kohli after the 3rd odi & send them back to India . Kohli has been dropped before & has come back stronger. He needs time off to work on his catching & batting. Look at raina he is already showing signs of improvement after being bounced out by everyone after being dropped. I would rest both Bk & Kohli for test series vs the windies as well. Bring them back for the 5 odis. Rest dhoni for the last 3 make Kohli captain & have Samson as wk/bat.

gaurav92 Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 The failure has just put added pressure on Kohli to perform. He is mentally disintegrated, he is in two minds whether to play aggressively and get some runs under the belt or survive cautiously. He is himself not sure of what is he supposed to do. He has never been this inconsistent, but I guess, no one can be in the purple patch for as long as he had been, so its now time to get to the basics, and forget whatever happened in the past. Take it ball by ball and I am sure he will score well in the remaining matches. He is too good a player to be failing that badly. Come on Virat, sort out your mind, prepare mentally and I am sure there is a hundred for the taking. Coming to the point, Dhoni will not change his captaincy tactics even if we lose this ODI series 3-1. He is a guy who plays more on his intuitions and gut feeling than on proper planning and execution mechanism. He thinks that playing 5 bowlers will give opposition nightmares than India has produced 5 bowlers who will tear them apart, whats worse, he makes the 6th and the 7th bowler bowl more overs than the regular bowler? What does this show? This gives even worse nightmares to the batsman who **** bricks at the sight of the part timer bowling as he see India has got so much depth in their bowling. He is terrified to see 6-7 Indian bowlers bowling and surrender. Then the fanboiz goes all praise for YumEssDee's captaincy
