vijay50 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Thanks for your services in ODIs and tests. Now you can contribute in IPL and T20s. This is what a positive approach to ODI does, rather than making 20 runs of 50 balls and piling pressure on Dhawan to score all the time.
vvvslaxman Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Best thing that has come out of this series is that. Ejection of Sharmas. Phase I complete.
Temujin Khaghan Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Dhoni's statement on Aug 30th "So overall, it looks like a good team: if you look at the batting order itself, it is a fantastic one. If Rohit [sharma] gets fit, at the top of the order or if he is batting in the middle, it is looking good. But still there are a few areas there is a still a bit of concern: bowling still we need to work on wickets where there is no turn and spinners are not that effective. If you don't take wickets in the middle overs that really puts a lot of pressure on the bowlers."
maniac Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Is this thread a joke :hysterical: on a spicy pitch made the difference-2nd odi.....would have been a total beast on this pitch
King Tendulkar Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 In odis rohit should be out, as can only open. Dhawan and rahane are best combo But in tests....
Temujin Khaghan Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Rahane Dhawan Kohli Rohit Raina Dhoni 5 bowlers The only guy who is worthy enough to oust Rohit is Kedhar Jadhav and him alone!!! Rohit is superior to Rayudu, Tiwary Yuvraj has lost motivation Sehwag is out of question. Dinesh Karthik? meh! :giggle: Samson is too young and inexperienced. Vijay? idk how he plays in ODIs and WC is too near.
King Tendulkar Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Rohit cant bat middle order. As cant rotate strike, as its block block whack
Temujin Khaghan Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 If yuvraj can comeback then he is a superb option, but he is busy attending fashion parades and bollywood parties. Iam serious, check google news.
Temujin Khaghan Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Rohit cant bat middle order. As cant rotate strike' date=' as its block block whack[/quote'] even a moron like him will rotate strike, when the field is spread out. of course best choice is KEdar JAdhav, he is a superb batsman. Think another Rahane. but WC is too near.
Sachin=GOD Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 He made a 50 in the only match he payed and here we have "experts" saying goodbye to him...
Temujin Khaghan Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 He made a 50 in the only match he payed and here we have "experts" saying goodbye to him... he is not rotating strike, thats why everyone is frustrated.

Think another Rahane. but WC is too near. He had a long go in middle order. And consistent issue was block block, then panic and whack
Temujin Khaghan Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 He had a long go in middle order. And consistent issue was block block' date=' then panic and whack[/quote'] we know Dhoni, he will not make any last minute changes before WC
vijay50 Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 Rohit hasnt done anything in middle order for the first 70 ODIs and thats why he is moved to opening. Even when he was batting in middle order, he had tge same problem of getting out in 20 and 30 runs by eating lot of balls. If yuvi is back thats good, otherwise could try Naman Ojha in middle order along with rayudu. Dhoni has mentioned today that Rahane fits the opening spot.
Temujin Khaghan Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 anyway the fracture to the middle finger - is it a metaphor :finger: for an injury somewhere else or really middle finger :hysterical: Tarki Dhoni, Iam sure his autobiography will be named "Managing the Harem" or "Coming Out" :D

maniac Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Lol when we play on Spicy pitches in Australia and ROhit doesn't open------Half our cricket fans without cricketing knowledge will be praying for rain and the other half with cricketing knowledge for Rohit Sharma.
G_B_ Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 anybody else think that Shikar and Rahane enjoy each others company? there appeared to be a lot more hugging and fist bumps when they are batting in the last two odis. One thing about Rahane is that he does actively seek the single. That i feel is appreciated with Shikar. I only issue i have/had with Rahane is that he is range bound and does not make a start count. That has been dispelled hopefully. I personally think that India should play the two inform openers out of Shikar Rohit and Rahane. Clearly form can change in a matter of months, so i think bye to Rohit is a bit premature.

Lol when we play on Spicy pitches in Australia and Saurab Tiwary doesn't open------Half our cricket fans without cricketing knowledge will be praying for rain and the other half with cricketing knowledge for Saurab Tiwary This makes more sense :cantstop:
