Rohit hasnt done anything in middle order for the first 70 ODIs and thats why he is moved to opening. Even when he was batting in middle order, he had tge same problem of getting out in 20 and 30 runs by eating lot of balls. If yuvi is back thats good, otherwise could try Naman Ojha in middle order along with rayudu. Dhoni has mentioned today that Rahane fits the opening spot.

anybody else think that Shikar and Rahane enjoy each others company? there appeared to be a lot more hugging and fist bumps when they are batting in the last two odis. One thing about Rahane is that he does actively seek the single. That i feel is appreciated with Shikar. I only issue i have/had with Rahane is that he is range bound and does not make a start count. That has been dispelled hopefully. I personally think that India should play the two inform openers out of Shikar Rohit and Rahane. Clearly form can change in a matter of months, so i think bye to Rohit is a bit premature.
