FischerTal Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Mitch, show Padosis what a fast bowler really is :cheer:
Scarves Posted September 8, 2014 Author Posted September 8, 2014 The XI I think would be barring injuries Warner Rogers Doolan Clarke Smith Watson Haddin Maxwell Johnson Siddle Lyon 3 spinning options and 3 pacemen.
undisputed chap Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Aus will have a very tough time in uae. They are super crap vs spin. If ajmal is not banned he will demolish the aussies.
Scarves Posted September 8, 2014 Author Posted September 8, 2014 You never know. Pakistan could outshit Australia in batting.
-Robin- Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Aus will have a very tough time in uae. They are super crap vs spin. If ajmal is not banned he will demolish the aussies. Pakis batting is crap against both fast and spin. Except Misbah and Younis all are medicore.
undisputed chap Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 BTW why hasnt ajmal been banned yet ?
kubrickian Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I can't see Australia doing well in tests in spin friendly conditions to be honest but Pakistan has been poor so it could be a good contest.
Cricket_Hacker Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 BTW why hasnt ajmal been banned yet ? test results not yet out :nervous:
BlueBee Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Gonna be tough for Aussies if Ajmal is not banned.
undisputed chap Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 test results not yet out :nervous: Wth? Its been 2 weeks since the tests were conducted & results were expected within 10 days. Though i fear PCB maybe up begging ICC to not announce a ban on their star player. I mean they begged & begged for reduction in statement for fixer amir's statement. So I wont put this beyond them. But I hope the ICC doesnt budge.
Crookbond Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Rod Marsh (Australian Selector) on Glenn Maxwell being selected for Test matches "He hasn't done enough to warrant selection". "He is the x-factor". "He has a very good record against Ajmal". "Technically I think he's a very fine batsman". "Technically I don't think he's a fine bowler". "He could play both Test matches". "He could play no Test matches".
undisputed chap Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Aussies need to man up & play 2 spinners. Johnson, siddle , lyon & SOK. Plus watson & smith can bowl a few overs. No need for bits & pieces cricketers like maxwell & m.marsh.
Old guy Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 If Ajmal does not plays this will be interesting otherwise I do not trust Australia on these tracks
Old guy Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 The XI I think would be barring injuries Warner Rogers Doolan Clarke Smith Watson Haddin Maxwell Johnson Siddle Lyon 3 spinning options and 3 pacemen. Are u considering smith and maxwell spin option or am I missing something and in batting it's all upto Clarke and smith on these tracks
Scarves Posted September 8, 2014 Author Posted September 8, 2014 Are u considering smith and maxwell spin option or am I missing something and in batting it's all upto Clarke and smith on these tracks Yes Maxwell is the 2nd spinner and yes basically it all matters down to the top 5.
undisputed chap Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Wth? Its been 2 weeks since the tests were conducted & results were expected within 10 days. Though i fear PCB maybe up begging ICC to not announce a ban on their star player. I mean they begged & begged for reduction in statement for fixer amir's statement. So I wont put this beyond them. But I hope the ICC doesnt budge. Good news for the aussies. Lol i can hear the sigh of relief from clarke & co.
rkt.india Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Yes Maxwell is the 2nd spinner and yes basically it all matters down to the top 5. SOK, not Maxwell should play if playing with 2 spinners.
