He scored fast in ODIs, but he wasn't as good in shot selection as he was in tests. In test matches even though Sehwag scored at a breath taking rate, he still played with caution and hence put some price on his wicket.

Name one batsman apart from Gavaskar who has been more successful as an opener, and has won more matches for the country. He's considered an Indian great not because he had a complete game, but because he's one of the best Test openers we ever had.

Test matches are set up in the first innings. Yeah he doesnt have a great 2nd innings average but he makes it up in the first innings. you need to start your pensionplan ASAP :finger:
