Ram Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 A Resounding Aye for me. Was a bit erratic to start with , settled down nicely and during periods of second spell , crossed 140 Ks. In fact , he has bowled the most overs by an Indian bowler on day 1 Your vote ?
sm332 Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 looked pretty good ... i want to see how he bowls on back to back days thought before pronouncing a firm judgment
Chandan Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Same as you! In fact I thought he bowled better than Zaheer. So  from me!
Guest Hiten. Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Captain's faith helped him bowl decent spells. Good work Munaf and Kumble :two_thumbs_up:
Ram Posted November 22, 2007 Author Posted November 22, 2007 :rose: What is that supposed to mean ? You giving a rose to Munaf ? :haha:
Dirty_South Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 What is that supposed to mean ? You giving a rose to Munaf ? :haha:
Guest Hiten. Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 "There was a swing' date='" he said when asked if it was his best spell, "but I was happy I could hit the right areas. The conditions helped early on." Was he, India's most successful captain, impressed with Kumble's first day at the office? "Fantastic," he beamed, "[b']he even gave me 12 overs." He didn't want to let down the captain. Good to see that
Ram Posted November 22, 2007 Author Posted November 22, 2007 That means a pleasant thums up....sriram:D Oh okie. Please clarify from here on. :D
gs Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 I want to see Munna last all 5 days of this test match - will reserve my judgement till then!
King Tendulkar Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Its about how he does over a 6 month period. He has all the attributes apart from a big heart. Lets see if he can give 100% for India every time he plays or if as before he starts to coast once he feels secure. Bowled very well today with pace
theguyinallblue Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 i like his style of appealing...fingers pointing towards umpire..and both hands in the air... good style... i never liked the appealing style of wasim akram...though Gays might have liked that style..:giggle:
Cricketics Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 i want to see him perform consistently.. just like how R.p Singh has done.. hope he lives up to our expectationz...
Bumper Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Munaf has the potential to be one of India's best fast bowlers ever. If he combines his raw talent with Sreesanth's dare devil attitude, he will be one deadly mofo
Predator_05 Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Yeah, Munaf is great. His best attribute isn't the accuracy or the pace but his BAD ASS FACE. Look at him - he looks like a SERIAL KILLER. He has got that look which will scare the daylights out of batsmen - they won't dare to hit out, 'cos if they do he will be waiting for them in the middle of the night, brandishing a butcher knife.

He bowled well on day-1. Lets see how he does in the remaining portions of this Test. Aye for day-1 - but will reserve Aye or Nay for overall assessment. Can he clean up the tail like he did against England? Can he bowl well in 2nd Inn? Can he continue like this for a few months without totally crashing and burning? Can he field decently if not great? This is an important facet in modern cricket.
