Haven't watched much of Afridi opening' date=' but why was he demoted so low when he did quiet well opening than at #6-#7?[/quote'] Plain and simple....He is a hack and I am not even going by the general sterotype....In Non SC Conditions he was a walking wicket. But as we all know Afridi the ODI bowler is underrated and he found a spot in the team as a bowler and since he could slog he was accomodated lower down the order.

@maniac : he is abysmal as a lower middle order batsman. I can't remember one good innings that he has played there... most of his supposedly good performances have come at the top... I wonder why Pak don't use him to get a quickfire 40 off 25 balls during the Powerplay to get the innings going...

He is abysmal everywhere :cantstop:...but Pak don't have too many hitters down the order when they had Razaqq,Mahmood they could afford to shuffle the line up ..Afridi is good in the sense that whenever he plays his once in a blue moon knock, usually he rotates strike well as well without getting tied down....now they have literally no one apart from Afridi in the slog overs.

Who has the most MoM in losing causes? Sachin? Angelo Mathews? Angelo surely has most of his top scores in losing causes
All ODI, Test and T20 combined Player of match awards in lost causes link Sachin with 9 Gayle with 6 Desilva with 5 Andy Flower with 5 Miandad with 5 For Angelo, the MoM he got in last ODI was the first time he won MoM ( in ODI ) in a lost match...He might have made big scores in lost matches but never got MoM for that

Nice thread OP, and good work with statsguru, Kalia. :nice: I would like to know something statsguru wouldn't be able to answer : how many batsmen have scored centuries in ODIs whilst being ill or sick. Weird question I know but shows the commitment of players. Cramps occurring during match don't count. P.S i know Dhoni scored one :P
