I'll put forth a question myself Which player has played international cricket under most number of captains?
Has to be someone who has played for a long time but more importantly for a country that changes captains a lot Will go for Afridi as I can think of him under Wasim, Waqar, Sohail (?), Yousuf,Younis, Moin, Hafeez,Inzi, Butt, Misbah and maybe few more

has to be afridi' date=' he might have played under some 12 easily.[/quote'] OK...I found out a way to check number of captains a player played under ( ODI,Test and T20 )...It does not give the player who played under most captains but you can check for any suspected player Afridi has 15 ( including his own captaincy ) link

I have I doubt that always confused me. We had Kapil as Captain for world cup in 1983 Then for world championship in 1985 we had Gavaskar as Captain Then for 1987 wc Kapil was again captain. Also read that Vengsakar was captain for some time in BTW during that period Any old timers know why did we frequently change captains in that period even though we seem very successful during that period

somewhat similar to Azhar-Sachin captaincy switches in the 1990s. Gavaskar was one of the most senior guys when he was given captaincy. But India had some uninspiring performances nearer to the 1983 world cup, in fact lost to Pakistan and Gavaskar's own form had dipped. So Kapil, the rising superstar (just like Tendulkar who was young and rising superstar was given in mid 90s) was given the captaincy. Then shortly after World cup win, Kapil ran into troubles with the board, India lost against WI and Kapil lost his captaincy - very soon he was actually dropped from a home test citing indiscipline - leading Gavaskar to become captain once again. Gav suffered a lot at the hands of press for his supposed role behind dropping Kapil. Then Gav led India to the famous 1985 world series win and then retired from captaincy at a peak. And Kapil was once again reinstated as captain. Kapil enjoyed captaincy through 1987 WC at the end of which he gave it up to Vengasarkar. Vengsarkar had a bad time at the top and had to relinquish it in 89. Then it went merry round - Ravi Shastri, Srikkanth all captained India briefly before Azhar took over in 1990.
