Fifty odd required within 90odd balls and 4 wickets in hand......I don't think India could have defended ninety balls and hence were better off chasing 50 runs

Why are you comparing ODI matches with Test matches ? What's his record overseas can you tell me how is he an ATG when you talk about Test format ?

Dhoni has achieved a lot as captain, no doubt about it. But honestly, does anyone think Dhoni will take us back to No.1 in the world in Tests or can win a World Cup outside of India? He goes on the defensive too quickly and just lets the game drift. While it's early in Kohli's career, the thing I like about him, is you can see how competitive this guy is. I liked the fact that Kohli went for it when the game was on the line. I think that win or lose mentality is what is needed in Indian cricket at the moment. We have hidden behind too many draws over the last few years and I think it's refreshing to see an Indian captain who backs their side to win in a difficult situation.

Being aggressive alone is not enough to be a good captain. Looking for victory alone without evaluating the risks of losing won't make a good captain. We have to wait and see whether Kohli brings out the best from his players (Dhoni obviously failed here after 2010) and is free of nepotism (Dhoni wasn't free of this) and always supports the best XI that can represent India for each match.

This is my point Clarke is also an aggressive captain but he evaluates risks rather than playing a brand of kamikaze cricket that hands them the win on a platter.
