youngindia Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 The weakness in our system is we have a bunch of idiots who waste their time on mythical value of allrounders rather figure out the way the best way to win matches. these clueless people do not understand even if they were no jadeja or axar or binny , we will perform at the same level the best to win matches is to have brilliant players who also perform at a high level. there is no backup to the specialist batsmen. Any one remember vengsarkar being down for the 87 semi due to food poisoning and he was replaced by the much less experienced pandit? At that time amarnath was dropped which Imran described as "shocking" The same situation will screw them here. its ridiculous to take players who have experience under 50 -70 matches. Axar does not have enough experience to be a matchwinner.Even jadeja was only showing signs of maturing and not fully convincing. binny's selection takes the bakery.I am reminded of the worthless output of dinesh mongia and bangar in 2003 All three are not fully proven at international level as reliable matchwinners and taken for the sole reason they can bat and bowl to varying degrees. and binny's case is the worst..too much cannot be expected of inexperienced axar except the odd flourish I am afraid the same mistakes have been repeated 12 years later.
