rkt.india Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Shami is the laziest player according to Kohli though he only said that in a comedy show. It shows in his fitness. He is the most unfit of the bowlers.
G_B_ Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 It shows in his fitness. He is the most unfit of the bowlers. Yup... He also gets fitter by bowling. So one player who should bowl as much as possible
rkt.india Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Yup... He also gets fitter by bowling. So one player who should bowl as much as possible He should see gym too.
Old guy Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 He can still bowl at decent pace I cannot imagine how much better his control and pace will be if he is fully fit ..
rkt.india Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 He cannstillbbowl at decent I cannot imagine how much better his control and pace will be if he is fully fit .. Not just fitness, his action and runup needs to improve a lot to get that consistency going. Look at Harris, Hazlewood, Starc, they have such uncomplicated smooth runups and action. They are able to keep a good shape at the delivery stride that enable them to land the ball in right areas.

rkt.india Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Yeah they look natural while bowling .. Not Harris but hazelwood does .. Harris too. He has a very good action, even better than Hazlewood.
Old guy Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Harris too. He has a very good action' date=' even better than Hazlewood.[/quote'] Action is better but maybe it's his body he does not looks comfortable Hazelwood looks like he can bowl same way all day ..
rkt.india Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Action is better but maybe it's his body he does not looks comfortable Hazelwood looks like he can bowl same way all day .. Actually, Harris is one who bowls same way whole day. Hazlewood lacks the stamina to maintain pace right now. Harris is stronger despite him being struggling with injuries.

My reaction after watching hazelwood was he is like clark :giggle: And he took 5 wickets in that inning and bowls same tight spells ..Harris is one of best in world today I am not comparing them but maybe it's injury but when he bowls specially near crease when he lands his feet it looks uncomfortable

Also I feel he will have career like Clark more than McGrath ..

He has the potential to be another great Australian fast bowler.

rkt.india Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Yep ..still has to prove himself outside Australia but he should do well in ashes .. He will certainly do well in Aus, England, NZ, and SA. He has his basics right. Only injuries can stop him.
Old guy Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Length you bowl is different and some times bowlers can look bad like pattinson did but his consistency means he replaces siddle so should do that job well ..
rkt.india Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Length you bowl is different and some times bowlers can look bad like pattinson did but his consistency means he replaces siddle so should do that job well .. Yaar good length is good length in all countries. I have not seen successful bowlers bowling different lengths in these four countries. McGrath bowled same length and got wickets whether it was Aus or England. This length thing is just an excuse given for failures. Bowl around 6-7 meter mark on around off stump consistently and you will be hard to deal with in these places.

I think he changed it little bit and this is reason I don't like basing how to bowl how great bowlers did It does not work like that for everyone and you have to change length slightly for example broad bowled slightly shorter in Australia and if bowled length he bowls in England he will get smashed .. Many bowlers struggled in Australia like waqar and it was main,y because of length
