Gollum Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 PESHAWAR: While last week’s attack on French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo sparked global outrage, dozens of people in Peshawar paid tribute on Tuesday to the brothers who carried out the murders. Though small in scale, the event was indicative of the anger that portrayals of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) can ignite in some parts of the world, particularly in Pakistan where tough blasphemy laws make insulting the Prophet (PBUH) a crime punishable by death. Local cleric Maulana Pir Mohammad Chishti led some 60 people in prayers for Cherif and Said Kouachi, who shot dead 12 people at the magazine’s offices on January 7, as worshippers called the pair “martyrsâ€. They also chanted “Death to Hebdo publications†and “Long live Cherif Kouachi, long live Said Kouachiâ€, and kissed posters of the brothers who were shot dead by police two days later. “These two brothers have paid the debt of all Muslims in the world and we present them our salute and respect,†Chishti said. Aurangzeb Alhafi, professor of Islamic Studies at Punjab University in the eastern city of Lahore said he attended the prayers as a religious duty. “If freedom of expression stops at the mention of the Holocaust, then it should also stop at the honour of our Prophet (PBUH),†Alhafi told AFP. Fourteen people are languishing on death row in the country for falling prey to its blasphemy laws, which rights groups say are used to persecute minorities and wage personal vendettas. Mobs often take matters in their own hands and lynch those accused of blasphemy, and such killers are widely feted. Charlie Hebdo meanwhile has announced it will defy the attackers by putting a cartoon of a weeping Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) on its next cover. http://tribune.com.pk/story/821160/rally-in-peshawar-celebrates-charlie-hebdo-attackers/ What sick b@stards
Guldozer Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 There were about 10 people there.
G_B_ Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 these people just got hit by a deadly terror attack and they are celebrating another terror attack? just how dumb do you have to be?
Gollum Posted January 14, 2015 Author Posted January 14, 2015 There were about 10 people there. Yeah about 60-70 were there, good to see that public stayed away from this. The attendees must also be TTP sympathizers judging by their love for some unknown terrorist in an unknown country over love for humanity.

Kalia_Test Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I wrote elsewhere too but I feel it is funniest to see Pakistanis condemn Paris attacks. In their country, their mobs would have killed the cartoonists or their law. Let any ONE Pakistani come and say NO. Why the heck do they even try and put a pretence of condemning the attack? They would have done EXACTLY the same. Most Pakistanis are happy about the killings and sympathies are with killers. Atleast be HONEST or is it too much to ask? Hope nobody asks me for examples as I have 53 mob/judicial killings for blasphemy in Pakistan ( and some are so ridiculous you wont know whether to laugh or cry ).

Pakistanis are not happy with this attack. Don't confuse the jahil (illiterate) population of a country with the rest of the population. And the jahil population is far from being in majority, nowhere near it infact.

I think the positive thing I nthis case is there were no major protests worldwide in muslim countries like Pakistan ro the arab ones in the case of the movie a few years ago, the muslim world exploded so progress in that sense this was a minority/ lone wolf type case

Where were the protests against the jaahils that burnt christian brick makers falsely accusing them of so called blasphemy? Show me mass rallies/protests against Blasphemy laws in Pakistan ( even 10000 people will do for argument). We all know of the killing of Punjab Governer Salman Taseer who opposed Blasphemy law and was killed. The lawyers kissed the killer. Read this link

People on this forum are the most ill-informed regarding world happenings. Everybody here has made their judgements from what they hear from third class Indian media. You are one of them.

Try to make this comment in your intolerant jaahil forums and see if you survive for 10 minutes. We Indians don't mind. A society includes everyone including ignorants and you fill that space nicely in ICF :two_thumbs_up: As for the post, I conclude that you have ZERO arguments against what I said and hence you agree. Thanks. Someone comparing Indian MSM with Pak MSM. This is the height of ignorance. I am not surprised though as this ignorance is encouraged in Pak.

And the jahil population is far from being in majority, nowhere near it infact. In Pakistan there is death sentence for blasphemy. So the cartoonist would have at least got the death by the law of their land. So Pakistanis condemning the attack is very ironic in my view.

When a post can start from such a stupid statement why should I even bother reading the whole post, and I didn't. :haha: And Pakistani sites are full of Indian people, where they are treated fairly by the moderators and don't let any pathetic comments by the Pakistanis.
Kalia_Test Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 ^ Just an Advice to you, Why dont you make one big official thread for Bashing Pakistanis on ICF ? ( well, sadly you missed this one but never mind) So we will done with your hatred towards Pakistanis once and for all ... Problem Solved ..... :dontknow: I would rather wish that Pakistanis move away from ignorance and embrace the new world ( leaving medieval practices and hatred aside). Why don't you create an India bashing thread in ICF ( I am sure we are more tolerant than you ) and keep all your India hatred there?

Very ironic of you to call others ignorant...
