India drew two tests and with some luck the series could have been 1-1. England 2011 was the mother of all losses, Dravid being the only saving grace of that tour.

Drew 2 tests and both the tests Australia won could have easily gone India's way. Same with tests in South Africa and NZ. Had great chance to win in Joburg and both tests in NZ but couldnt finish it. Indian side was mostly competitive in all these overseas tours and they lacked a bit of experience to deliver the knockout punch, being the first overseas tours for many players in the side and they will get better as they play more. Its a far cry from the previous overseas tours of 2011.

How often do you see 4th innings chases of 360 being completed successfully? If we had won, it would have been one proud moment, regardless of the declaration. They declared because they wanted to win, and this is part and parcel of cricket. Their declaring or not declaring would not have taken the sheen off an Indian win.
