AmreekanDesi Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Not a single win in any format Boys must be so demoralized. Do they get to go home for a week or 2 before the WC now. Wouldn't be a bad idea considering how logn they've been in Oz and the fact that they have been beaten black and blue with no respite
BlueBee Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 I'd say this is one of the best away tours since 2011. I don't give a **** about ODIs nowadays. We fought hard in the test series, I'm happy. I think they should go home and refresh for some 4-5 days though. Been away for two months is ni joke.
Forever Indian Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 The worst overseas tour for me was the twin 4-0 losses to Aus and Eng as we lost with our best team (although they were ageing)
AmreekanDesi Posted January 30, 2015 Author Posted January 30, 2015 The worst overseas tour for me was the twin 4-0 losses to Aus and Eng as we lost with our best team (although they were ageing) didn't we win the odi series in both tours?
AmreekanDesi Posted January 30, 2015 Author Posted January 30, 2015 Under Dhoni we are spoilt for choices lol lol :hysterical:
adi B Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 didn't we win the odi series in both tours? No.lost 3-0 in England and lost 3 odis to aus
The Realist Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 didn't we win the odi series in both tours? Nah got pulverised on the 2011 Eng tour. 0-4 in tests 0-3 in ODIs That was a brutal tour, even had to watch Dhoni bowl
Number Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 England 2011. Got absolutely smashed in all the tests. Lost the only T20. Tied one , one was NR, rest all ODIs also lost.
MK55 Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 This is definitely the most humiliating tour in recent years. Even in 2011 we had some inspiring performances in the ODIs. Umesh Yadav was a big positive in the tests. I dint care if the batsmen suffered as I saw something positive in the future. This time its different. The flat tracks has created a false sense of complacency in some of the batters. The dropped catches in the test series has also also played a role in destroying our bowlers and they dint recover. The fact is the batting is as mediocre as our bowling especially when it comes to ODIs. As a fan this is the worst I've seen in recent years. The test series and the flat tracks badly exposed us in the bowling department. We were in the test series only until the 2nd day of Brisbane. The spineless bowling performance in the last test has had a psychological consequence and I dont see anything ATM to stop us from regressing even more. The only thing that we had somewhat going in the past was our performances in the ODIs but even that has been appalling this time around. We desperately need a new coach who is modern and a bit authoritative. If the team strategy is left entirely to Dhoni, I don't see us improving. A new bowling coach is imperative. Every good team has got a successful fast bowler as their coach. The existing guys if they are good can act as support but we need someone to take charge.
ThePhenomenal1 Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 this odi series wont matter if we take the cup. test series was decent
HippoSucks Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 This wasn't that bad of a tour, despite being riddled with losses. Our batting was decent in the Test series and it was good to see Rahane, Vijay and Kohli in great form. In the ODIs our bowling has been pretty good and I think we have found a decent all-rounder in Binny.
Cricketics Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 I have seen worst. Lost the count of it since we have played some shyt cricket since 2011 world cup. Here atleast we were competitive in test series and even tho ugh we did not score a win on this tour, atleast it does not feel like those previous shyt tours where we got mauled.
elitecynic Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Worst Aus tour for sure. A couple of moral victories in tests. Overall a winless tour which has never happened before
dragonfly Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 I would have said worst ratio of # of wins / collective $ pacycheck. But the fkn $paycheck doesn't matter if the wins = 0. Ratio will always by 0.
fineleg Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 this odi series wont matter if we take the cup. test series was decent "If we take the cup?" Which cup? World cup by this team? :cantstop:
Iconoclast Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 South Africa, New Zealand and now Australia - three away tours without a single win in any format ...
