There are so many suicide bombers that no amount of security will help. How can any army/police be at every major place in every small town/city everytime? This is all the result of Zia-ul-Haqs extremist ideology in 80s and the fruits are visible now. Bhutto showed the declaration of Ahmedias as non-muslims as his 'achievement'. Seeds of intolerance were sown earlier. Add, to this the 24x7 propaganda by their media, mullahs and even Govt/Army sometimes that is all evil 'external' plan by CIA/Mossad/RAW to destroy muslims. The public have been so brainwashed and play the victim card too. For Pakistan to prosper ( and this will benefit India a lot as it will free up resources for both countries ), it needs to accept that it is an internal problem and a result of its own wrongdoings. It will take time but they need to remove these extremist "everyone is our enemy" ideas from their textbooks and monitor the madrasas carefully. Only the next generation that will grow up with tolerance can save Pakistan as the current generation is beyond redemption. Best they can hope short-term is that their army and intelligence will be able to weed out some major groups and stop some major attacks. Their ego will not allow them but consulting Israel on how to deal with terrorists and getting some equipment from them will be useful too. Israel has best anti-terror plans in the world and I remember India takes their help. Need to shed some egos.
Gaban Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Few weeks ago a muslim man was burnt to death in Bihar in some retaliatory action. Following that, Pakistanis on twitter started a #SaveIndianMuslims campaign and it trended for well of two days there. Soon after, they had the Shia massacre in Sindh and now this. My point is, it takes a special blend of adamancy/denial/bigotry that makes Pakistanis so concerned about Indian muslims at a time when multiple ethnic genocides are currently underway in that country.

It shows our maturity as a tolerant nation

Wonder why Shias are even living in Pakistan. 10-20% of Pakistanis' are Shias. Pakistan's last president, Zardari, was a Shia. Majority of Pakistani celebrities (showbiz) are Shias. There is no major conflict in the general population. People need to stop confusing Taliban with (normal/regular) Pakistanis.

There have definitely been attacks on Shias over the years and its unfortunate, but you have to remember that this is done by nutcases like Taliban. The general public is happily living together. And neither can you keep on generalising and keep on blaming Pakistanis when so many of the Pakistanis are Shias themselves. Although there may be minor conflicts (as you would expect between two different sects of a religion), things are definitely not as bad as shown in the media. By the way I'm pretty sure Imran Khan is not in support of Taliban, and especially after the Peshawar attacks.

Your Musharraf has admitted today that Pakistan ISI created and developed Taliban...look at his interview in guardian today....now the Taliban is biting you....snakes in backyard and all.... I don't care 2 hoots about you...I care about innocent Pakistanis being killed as I believe human life is invaluable....

This inferiority complex, denial and heartburn about India's progress is root cause of Pakistan's problems. My heart goes towards the children of Peshwar attacks and the minorities who are all victims of this denial and hatred.
