Around 15 shops, houses and vehicles were burnt by the angry mob. The police imposed Section 144 around 8.30 pm. Till the latest news, the police had asked the PFI activists, who had come from Mangaluru and Kerala, to return. PFI is mostly based in Kerala is a RSS-style muslim outfit. Whatever it is, this is a scary situation with organized groups fighting each other.
gattaca Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 In 2012, the Government of Kerala informed the High Court their stand that the activities of Popular Front are inimical to the safety of the country and is "nothing but a resurrection of the banned outfit Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) in another form", in its argument to ban the organization's Indian Independence day's commemoration program, the "Freedom Parade".[10][11][12] The High Court dismissed the Government's stand, however, upheld the ban imposed by the state Government. In July 2010, Kerala Police had unearthed country-made bombs, weapons and CDs and documents containing Taliban and Al-Queda propaganda from PFI activists.[14][15][16] The raids conducted were termed undemocratic and unconstitutional by the leaders of PFI.[17] As of 6 September 2010, as informed to the state high court by the Kerala government, no evidence has been found by the Police in its probe into the allegation of links to Hizbul Mujahideen, Lashkar-e Taiba (Let) or al-Qaeda.[18] The organisation provided counter arguments to the allegations positioned against it in its 2012 nationwide campaign "Why Popular Front".[2][3] This looks serious. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Popular_Front_of_India
Gollum Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 1 person killed, 15 injured, PFI clashed with the public, not RSS, RSS came into the picture only after all this was done. PFI is a reincarnation of SIMI, even worse than AIMIM. As expected media boycotted these riots as though nothing happened esp NDTV.
gattaca Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 I thought people who have good education can't be misguided easily but this pfi proves other way.
