Funny thing is he would have broken this record a month ago in 45 balls if he scored one more run. Previous record was Shane Watson vs Bangladesh (83 balls) when Watson made 185 n.o. Jaysuria was the World Cup record. Watson was the previous World Record holder. De Villers has both records, but Watson did hold the World Record.

He relies on his eye a lot, it is why I feel that when he does enter a rough period (every batsman does), it may last longer than many think. Great eye, but will be interesting to see how he is at the age of 34 where his eye is a fraction slower.
