Tactical Blumder-ABDV

This I discussed in match thread. SA made the tactical blunder of bowling first after winning the toss. How stupid was that? Knowing that Pak cannot chase anything above 250 and rain can make chasing under lights difficult. You never see SL make these kind of tactical blunders. So stupid ABD. Also ABD bowling along with Duminy and shift the momentum completely in favour of Pak. Now that cornered tiger is awoken, teams definitely need better strategy against Pakistan. They are beatable but dont give them what they like, which is batting first.

You will never see Aus make such blunders. Also Aus will not persist with non performers like Duminy for years .(apart from Watson)

I think they are keeping Duminy because he is the only batsman who does not lose it completely while chasing

What bollocks. In a rain affected game, you always chase because you know the DL equation and also the ball gets wet because of the outfield. Bowling part timers was a blunder but they had no choice because they didnt have a 5th bowler.

The game changer were the runs conceded by ABD/Duminy. Poor batting also contributed but there was such huge disparity between the performance of the part timers and the regular bowlers Also ABD din't attack Younus using body line tactic but instead brought himself to bowl and then Duminy

I don't think it was a blunder, he knows his team are probably going to made to chase in the finals, why not replicate that scenario in an unimportant group match?

Its going to be a net gain anyways for SA.

It's just usual choke..SA going out in QF as they have very unbalanced side. Now they have to drop Deckok and make AB keeper, move Riley to opening and play 5th bowler.

It was a blunder all right but still 232 should be chased 8/10 Times in nzl.the ball did move under lights even wasim acknowledged and the pak pacers bowled with heart no doubt but some of the shots played by jpd, russouw were not at all required at that stage.they looked in a hurry trying to go for the shots against a quality attack and fell apart. Another thing to be noticed is that saf had 4 lefties in their batting line up today and they were taken apart by the 3 left armers of pak, basically they played right into their hands, just imagine what zak (at his prime) would have done to the saffers today

Even after all the blunders the target was not beyond reacch. They were in commanding position at 67 for 1 in 9.3 overs.. meaning they needed another 160 odd in 30 overs with 9 wickets in hand. Should have been a walk in the park on this tiny ground.
