vvvslaxman Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 None of you guys would be whinging if you had won the cup' date=' losers always find something to whinge about..[/quote'] Duh.. Lot of us echoed the same sentiments even when we were at the top of the table. Also India's performance in this world cup nothing to be ashamed of. They missed lot of ingredients to compete in modern day ODI cricket yet they did creditably well.

I think the fact you were here for an eternity before the cup even began made it more boring for you, getting hammered game after game would've made it unbearable, then just when you thought you had a chance you got to meet Australia again lol.

Atleast we don't have the ignominy of conceding fastest 100 to one of the slowest batsman in Tests. :cantstop:
bones Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 ODI cricket is boring and meaningless. Surprised you wasted so much of your time on this drab fest. I caught the odd highlights and watched when nothing else was on, have to say cricket is in a sorry sorry state. It's quite damning if you're getting higher attendances at IPL matches than in world cups. I suppose that's no shame on the Aus and NZ crowds, at least they don't have as much time to waste on cricket.

I laughed at your thread about some actor dismissing ODIs a few months back, but now it actually makes sense. ODIs in general now are just batsman slogging around to appease new cricket viewers. Commercialization is ruining cricket very fast...

I have almost entirely changed all my focus from this shambolic sport to other well organised and structured sports. Tennis and football. I keep saying over and over, pitches need to be 150 plays 150 or less, these 350 plays 350 or even 250 plays 250 are awful to watch.

Test cricket is still very enjoyable,,, Also I'm sure most long term cricket viewers are fine with 250 being a good score in ODI. Both 150 and 350 are going overboard.

sticky wicket Posted March 31, 2015 Author Posted March 31, 2015 None of you guys would be whinging if you had won the cup' date=' losers always find something to whinge about..[/quote'] 2011 was just as boring due to length of competition and so will the next World Cup be, scheduled for 1.5 months! So far all t20 world cups have been fun to watch becoz they are done in three weeks, and with two games a day, and not having to wait an eternity for your team to play next game
Laaloo Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Still you find time to post about shambolic sport :cantstop: hes a paki. he has lots of free time

sticky wicket Posted April 1, 2015 Author Posted April 1, 2015 I always take cricket polls open to internet public with a pinch of salt, due to shear volume of India supporters
sage Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 The consensus is pretty good though. 2015 & 2007 sucked
vvvslaxman Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I always take cricket polls open to internet public with a pinch of salt' date=' due to shear volume of India supporters[/quote'] 2015 was not really a bad world cup for India considering the expectations. I don't think it has got anything to do with India's early exit. Infact this was the sentiment shared by a lot even before our exit due to long wait between our matches.
