In the early days of the Shah revolts, he had ceded power to a liberal PM. The first ever PM of Iran....Mosaddegh, unfortunately the minute he came to power he decided to nationalize oil. UK just could'nt approve of this and decided to play dirty politics as usual. When the time came that the Shah would just not be in power anymore, France and UK decided to place i power a man they thought they knew, an exiled religious leader, based in France. Imagine he overthrew the Shah from exile. That's how much support he got by the Brits and the French. And as usual this ploy by the Brits was a massive screw up.

To protect them, Saudi Arabia is fighting a defensive war. They're Sunni jihad group. Even if Saudis shyt all over pakistan and order its citizen to scoop it up, these Islamists will gladly do it for the ummah cause. I guess the Houthis are too strong, land invasion won't give desired results and no country is going to risk its soldiers.
