Ganguly's passion and his proximity with Dalmiya would greatly help. Verdict is still out on Kohli the captain so I wouldn't use his ego as an excuse to keep a strong-willed person away from the team.

It's almost like you share that typically inherent Bangladeshi victim mentality. I am from Kolkata. I wanted Ganguly to be dropped in his last year of international cricket because he lost form. I think he was a mediocre test player...a fantastic captain and ...a very good ODI player. I think he had a big ego during his playing days. It is also true that he has become far more diplomatic and personable nowadays. How good a coach or team director he will be ....only time will tell. Clash of egos may or maynot happen. Stop making stupid and offensive generalizations.

I like cricketers with aggression.[/quote'] Shastri , Ganguly and Kohli have been the 3 most aggressive Indian cricketers in the last 30 years. I have really enjoyed the Kohli + Shastri brand of aggressive team management. It would be interesting if it continues. If , for some reason, Shastri withdraws, then Kohli + Ganguly could be very exciting too. I feel that there is more chance of a Dhoni and Ganguly ego clash . Kohli is not an established captain and there is very little chance of him going against the coach. Defensive cricket, with tuk tuk batsmen, medium pacers and spinners without turn ...and not playing to win ..is the worst brand of cricket for me.

Elections are due in WB next year and his name was coming up a lot in association with BJP during Lok Sabha so I though maybe he would join politics now.

Doubt Ganguly will join politics anytime soon.Particularly when BJP looks o be lagging at 3rd
