Cricketics Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 crappy cricinfo commentry there fineleg.. it was a clear missfield by the fielder... don't go much on those text commentry.. anywayz me out from this thread for now..
Brainfade Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 This guy is a clear test of Venkatesh Prasad's abilities. He (IS) is fit, he has potential, but sprays the ball around and bowls too many no-balls. The bowling coach needs to show him the way.
Cricketics Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 yet another decision against Ishant Sharma.. clear out.. not a good day for Simon Taufell.
Cricketics Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Bruce Yardley sayz it rite.. he is the find for India.. yes... he really is.. freakin hell.. he would have had 3-4 wickets today..
kabira Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Ishant should have had Misaba and Kamran...He is found the length for this pitch. Putting in a great spell..He should be in the squad for australia, could be big learning for him
fineleg Posted December 10, 2007 Author Posted December 10, 2007 Struggling with control though...He is bowling one good ball and many bad balls, another good ball suddenly!!! Phew! Hope Venkatesh Prasad can do something! 100.6Sharma to Kamran Akmal, FOUR, this time Ishant overcompensates, wide outside the off stump, chopped away to the point boundary 100.5Sharma to Misbah-ul-Haq, 1 bye, short of a length and down the leg side, this one is just about half-stopped by Karthik
Prudent Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 What's wrong with our fineleg aunty...that kid is playing only his 2nd match, you already started criticizing him...bad very bad
donkey Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 he cant bulk up jus yet..he grew an inch since his last test match...jus like everyone said...give him another 2-3 years....he'll be one fine medium pacer
varun Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Impressed with whatever little I saw of him in this test match. He's improved from his Bangla outing.
Prudent Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 India will rue the rub of the green not going there way. A few close lbw shouts were denied. Ishant Sharma had a good spell in between but what will worry them is the number of extras conceded. ---cricinfo
Guest HariSampath Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Ishant really bowled well with the second new ball. He had the batsmen in troule, and had got his line straightened out, bowled MUCH better, hit 140 and should have taken at least 2 wkts but for trash umpiring. When he is making the batsmen play, he does real good and I strongly want him to be in the squad for Australia as with his 6' 4' height, he can get bounce on those tracks

coffee_rules Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Now, how often do we get a talll fast bowler who can intimidate with his height. He can develop into a very good bowler in tests. He should be taken to Australia. VRV is a joke of a selection. IS looks like he can take wickets, but VRV he needs batsmens' help to get wickets.
MundaPakistani Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Bowled quite well. He could easily have had both Misbah and Kamran.
Holysmoke Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 mm right. fineleg rong.Yep. He just bowled the spell of the series. Finey, if you watch this, I'd advise you to watch the whole spell, not only the wickets!!! Brilliant bowling. It was the tail, but still, it was very very good, pacy bowling.
fineleg Posted December 11, 2007 Author Posted December 11, 2007 He did well holy. So, yes he has earned the right to play these one-off matches. He needs to do a lot of work, so hope he gets the right training from coaches etc.
