(something like that) It is why somebody like Chawla got a county gig but Rahane (at that time did not). The truth is county sides are not going to go for Shreyas simply cause they have the Kolpaks who are available all throughout the county season. iyer is also not big enough a household name to attract Indians in the UK. For the deal to make commercial sense. The one county which is in the market for "indians" appears to be Derbyshire. They and Leicestershire want to build their base in the local indian community. So maybe the BCCI needs to push fringe players such as Lokesh Rahul for eg to experience the counties. Probably makes sense for India to call Zimbabwe to tour and give a lot of people their test debuts. Will suit them for the counties in terms of regulations after IPL is over in May to play in June July August Sept.

They are pretty much like English conditions. Ball swings whole day. They can be even tougher for batsmen because in England it gets easy when ball does not swing but here they leave so much grass that ball swings as well as seams too.

We continue to produce the best bating talent .How many great batsmen have England even produced in last 30-40 years ? Its OK for the likes of Pujara who are test specialists to play there .But others are far better off playing in IPL Its mainly our bowlers who need to play in county cricket .Someone like Aaron will learn a lot by playing in county than IPL or even Ranji

As GB mentioned, you need have played at least 1 test, 10 ODIs or 15 T20s to be eligible to play in county cricket. This is a new rule. The reason Rahane could not play County cricket a few years back but Chawla did. Also, counties can only play 2 overseas players.
