Haven't you heard about Jaunsar-bawar region in Uttarakhand that starts from about Kalsi to Uttarkashi district and some parts of HImachal near Tiuni. People with castes, Chauhan, Tomar, Joshi, Rai, Rana, Rawat, Negi, Rathore, etc. are Jaunsaris. Some Rawat and Negis are Garhwali too.

The worse feeling is when 14-15 year old kids outgrow us in the family. All my baby cousins are now taller than me. :(

Quite strange.[/quote'] You havent lived here so that's understandable. Jaunsar-Bawar is a tribe area. They were really backward but not anymore. They have made the most of the ST reservations and have progressed. Jaunsari girls are among the most beautiful girls in Uttarakhand.
