Not only will we keep our excellent coach, but are less likely to lose half our squad to England in the near future, as Gillespie would surely have raided his old county for talent (Rashid, Plunkett, Bresnan, Bairstow, Brooks, Lees could all have been options for him) Can any IPL followers shed any light on his time there? What do KKR supporters think of him?

Has also coached Sydney sixers and KKR to titles - Certainly a good CV but mainly for LOIs. I have not heard of any major achievements of teams under him in longer format.

I'd be quite happy if England were whitewashed by the Aussies if it meant Yorkshire retained the title. I can't think of anywhere else in world cricket where the domestic side invokes more passion than the national team, West Indian islands perhaps
