Writing in his column for the Daily Mail, McCullum pointed out a moment in the first Test when Joe Root reached three figures in England’s first innings. “David Warner is a fine player, but I was disappointed to see some of the petulance on show in Cardiff. When Joe Root got his hundred, Warner just stood there with his arms folded. HippoSucks Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 I can easily bring up many clips of McCullum not clapping after some player from the opponent's team gets a century... This is hardly an issue. Some players choose to clap while others just stay how they are.

Maybe he is generalizing warner's behaviour by giving recent example of not clapping.There is no way B-mac telling Warner to respect others on the root incident basis.

According to the article he was talking about this incident only. He did not say something along the lines of "Sometimes David Warner misbehaves on the field. For example at Cardiff he did not clap when Root got his century."
