A domestic tournament that unarguably is of highest quality among all the domestic tournaments, has been scrapped for this season as they could not find a slot for same in the busy schedule of Indian cricket. They have time for reality shows like IPL but no time for Duleep trophy. Precambrian Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 UN BELIEVABLE!!! I hope there is some alternative fixture. It was one of the unique features of our domestic game, which totally did away with dilution of talent in the Ranji.

Duleep Trophy is as close as we get to that format. Historically some of the defining performances have come in Duleep trophy which lauched players in international cricket. Scrapping the same is sheer stupidity.
