Adi_91 Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 I remember during the Pak-SL series when the second test was played there when the commentators were saying P Saravanamuttu Stadium does produce results rather than draws, weather permitting. Wonder after what happened in Galle, whether it will be 1-1 or 2-0 and a great farewell to Sanga. It looks like either way, we will know if the series will be alive or not. Thoughts?
Pagalpanti Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Sanga's last test, I'd be surprised if we its anything but a highway road. However that doesn't quite rule out India's loss.

vishalvirsingh Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 any clue how this pitch will be.. is it spin friendly or pacer friendly...??
sensible-indian Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Last time we played there, we chased 258 in the 4th innings and won. Laxman 103*, SRT 55 and Raina 41 Even in that game, we were reduced to 62/4 (including Ishant's wicket). With the current bunch of losers, nothing can be said.
sensible-indian Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 So what's the pitch like? Anyone knows? I am worried we might get a patta (which will be a draw or our loss).

Last 9 matches here produced results - http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/records/team/match_results.html?class=1;id=416;type=ground Certainly not a road ... batsmen must apply themselves.
vishalvirsingh Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 India will win.....kl rahul and KohlI will suceed in first innings and rahane in second...binny will also score.
Vijy Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 India will win.....kl rahul and KohlI will suceed in first innings and rahane in second...binny will also score. Hmmm.. Kohli did well, but should have gone on to get a 100.
vishalvirsingh Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 i had predicted that Rahul and kohli will do well as both did well in practice games and murli is just coming back( did not expect him to be at his best) I don't see Rohit hitting a century in this innings( cud hit a 50) INDIA may win this test. ashwin , Mishra will get the most wickets and fast bowlers will also get few. if Ishant bowls as well as he bowled in last test - he will get at least 3 wickets. this pitch looks better for pacers than the previous test.

You got it pretty much spot on! Now, I hope you get everything right. :two_thumbs_up:
