Ridiculing only happens when a batsman performs poorly outside the subcontinent .. in multiple series ... and performs superlatively here. Because it is perceived that the player has talent but either lacks fighting ability or is unwilling to work on his shortcomings and improve.

Idiotic comparsion. He has got wickets and tons of them on flat tracks as well. How often do spinners bag wickets overseas? He's considered a great because of his performance on wickets without much help. Din't he bag a 7fer or a 5fer in India back in 2010?
