not really bothered about these meaningless odis. im not a fanboy or a hater of him, but he should be given the full nz and eng tests to see how he goes in the longer format. if he sucks then boot him for good after that.

I dont think he has ever been a good ODI batsman. Even his List A stats are average. In ODIs, he doesnt seem to have the patience or temperament to take singles when its not going for him. This has been his biggest problem. He seems to get stuck in the middle overs and he either hits out or gets out, unlike Kohli, Gambhir or Raina who specialize in taking singles and building an innings. So when things are working for him, he seems to be going great but most of the times, he will get dismissed fairly cheaply. I dont think temperament is an excuse for having him in the side any longer because he has played over 80 games and he should have learned by now how to adapt to ODIs. I'd rather like to see Rahane or Manoj Tiwary in the lineup. Rohit blew the chances which were given to him.
