Just watch the above discussion from 26:00 to 29:00, It totally shocked me , A paki Tarek Fateh is telling Maulana ansar Raza that why Maulana's consider Mohammed Bin Qasim , Ghaznavi , Aurangzeb as good whiile Maulana Ansar Raza the Patriotic face of Indian Muslim is telling him that these people are our hero.

On this site I several times heard that how Indian muslims are good and Paki's bad but here maulana ansar raza to whom I used to like earlier have this type of views  then what are going to be views of orthodox muslims

can you tell who actually are Shias?

Yh pretty easy they don't accept rule of Abu bakr, Umar, uthman, have excessive love for Ali and Imam hassan and Hussain. Mourn in the month of muharram, have a different azan to Sunni Muslims, follow the jurisprudence of Imam jafir as sadiq, belive in infallibility of 12 Imams, accept taqiya as part of the religion, some off shoots like zaidi Shi'a belive in 5 Imams rather than 12 but Twelvers are the overwhelming majority.

There is a more basic difference. "Shia is a branch of Islam which holds that the Islamic prophet Muhammad's proper successor as Caliph was his son-in-law and cousin Ali ibn Abi Talib"

Sunni Islam is a denomination of Islam which holds that the Islamic prophet Muhammad's first Caliph was his father-in-law Abu Bakr

So Sunnis believe in Ali or not? If they do, then what do they believe him as? If not then why not?

Sorry, I don't understand Islam so much. I just know some core teachings but not whole lot.

sunnis Accept Ali as the 4th rightly guided Caliph and from the ahlul bayt( family of the prophet), Sunnis also Accept the son of Ali Imam hassan as the 5th rightly guided caliph, Ali is regarded by sunnis as one of the greatest muslims.

Basically shia say Leadership of the Ummah can only be from the Ahlulbayt and specifically the descendants of the Prophet(PBUH) Daughter Fatimah.

Sunni disagree with this and say anyone can be the leader, Although there are some sunni scholars who say the Leader should be from the Qurashy only ( Prophets tribe) but this is not the only opinion as Throughout history The ottoman turks, Mamluk turks were caliphs of the Muslim world.

This was the reason I said that, Any TDH can be the leader for Sunnis. Anyone who has power. While Shias consider only descendants of Porphet Muhammad to be the leaders.
