Replacements for Dhawan, Nohit (and perhaps Saha later on)

Vijay, Pujara, Kohli, Rahane are the core batsmen (despite some weaknesses for Pujara and Kohli and some for Rahane).

If we replace Dhawan and Nohit (and later on Saha) - we can strengthen the team.
Suggest some replacements for Dhawan and Nohit. (Saha we will worry abt it later, perhaps CM Gautam can be tried?)

I am NOT so sure abt KLR, but for now we can try KLR for Dhawan and Karun Nair for Nohit?

It is quite clear that Rohit, Dhawan and Saha are not ideal picks for test matches. Rohit needs to be replaced immediately and the other two as soon as replacements are available.

Ideally, I would like a batting all-rounder to replace Rohit. That would be in keeping with Kohli's 5 bowler policy ( which he is compromising for Rohit )

Pandya and Gurkeerat are 2 options with potential  that I know of. Pandya requires more time in FC. Gurkeerat can be tried if we are playing in the sub-continent. Outside the subcontinent it would be difficult to play 5 bowlers  till the time Pandya or some other good  batsman-seamer is ready,  As a proper batsman I would like Shreyas Iyer to be tried first. Karun Nair is next in line.

KL Rahul is the first choice replacement for Dhawan.

I see no obvious replacement for Saha. All immediate options, including Saha, are mediocre. Naman Ojha is the best bet if it has to be done. 

Rishav Pant, Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson can be exciting options in the long run....whoever turns out best in terms of both keeping and batting.

But, the reality is, no matter what we at ICF want...Rohit and Saha won't be dropped easily and even Dhawan will get more chances.

But he has a lot of commercial backing after he has become a successful captain of the Mumbai Indians. He will get a super long rope...no matter how much we dislike it. Even if he is dropped, he will come back at the first opportunity.

Look at the sad part.

Rohit Sharma is averaging 23.38 from the  14 tests he has played in the last 2 years. Highest of 79 ...only four  50+ scores.

Even wicket keepers and  all-rounders get dropped if they perform like this.

Ill Add pujara to that list. If he doesnt sought his inswing prob. Need one more batsman . 

N lets nont forget he didnt do that gr8 in overseas as well
