I was absolutely shocked at his array of shots,he is a proper middle order bat than the forced feeling you get with Rahane,hope we stick with him even in India and T20s too.

If not for Rahane's injury he wouldn't even have played. He played 2 games, got about 2 overs to bat, and was dropped promptly to make way for Gurkeerat Singh. What kind of selection team would drop a potential match winner(even disregarding today's century) just like that?

how do you know he is match winner ? Gur did really well in A team and was in great form.. so he did deserve a chance which he didn't utilize lat match..

Pandey did nothing special in those A matches

And on the basis of one match, suddenly Rahane no longer is a valuable player. That's unfair to him.

The little I have seen of Gurky in the international level doesn't inspire me with confidence. Pandey's better, but he had a patta and a 3rd string Oz atttack going his way. The funny thing is that no one has inspired much confidence in that position since Yuvraj and Raina's decline and exits - not even Rayudu, Jadhav and Pandey who have "high" averages.
