looks like a good player. has looked the best player in the team and can hit big. interesting if he has a good IPL

domestic teams do not play leg spinners. There are plenty but they prefer accurate defensive left arm spinners.  Leg spinner can be expensive.For example M. Ashwin, I saw him on his Ranji game 2-3 years back and he looked good, wasnt accurate and went for runs and he barely played 3 FC matches since for TN. They prefer two left arm spinners in Rahil and Aushik and the off spinner Rangrajan. He did play T20 this season and did well.

Rangarajan has a decent record though.

Talent is not the only factor required for success in international cricket. Temperament,   sufficient intelligence,   hard work and then some more,   hunger for success,   not getting distracted by fame and money,    fitness etc. all contribute towards making top players.

Pant, Sarfraz, Kishan, Lomror, Armaan, Bhui, Avesh, Khaleel, Dagar, Ansari.......all have the talent but not all of them will succeed eventually.

Very true. To this list, one can also add Sundar and Himanshu Rana (I'm still surprised that the latter wasn't selected - did better than most in Ranjis).

I really like Samar Quadri. He turns his leg-spinners a lot and gets bounce too . Needs to develop his googlies and flippers though.

Even Sarabjit Ladda has improved and looked good in Ranji trophy this season.

Kuldeep Yadav, the chinaman bowler,  did not look that impressive in the only match i saw him bowl.

Yes, Quadri's a bit like McGill... turns it big, but goes for runs. Ladda didn't impress me in the past, maybe he's changed for the better.

 

Kuldeep is pretty raw.

 

Another genuine prospect is Gani, who has classical flight and drift (like Roly-Poly Powar).

Liked Gani in last year's u19 WC. Turned the ball consistently.....and that is the first thing I look for in a spinner.

Lomror is more like Raina. Pant-man is more like a hybrid of Yuvi and Raina.

definitely like Raina. though was playing in tough conditions decently till he got a good one. Played much better than Kishan

Looks like a cow lasher tbh. Little bit of pace and he was struggling. Don't hype him unnecessarily.

He looks nothing like Raina.

To be fair, it was a very difficult pitch to open on. And for an explosive young batsman to show even the little bit of patience was commendable.

Should have gone on to play a good innings after doing the hard work up first.

He looks nothing like Raina.

He will be better than Raina. Mark it. Even Raina would not have done better on this pitch even if he was playing U19 pacers.

Yes, and some Dhawan too. Most importantly, he seems to have many of their common weaknesses as well.
