gakgupta Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Not sure, if we have thread for this fellow....if so, mods pls merge ...I though he may be little old for U-19's.....Also, he reminds me of NZ's Jessie (Ryder) when he batsMost notable feature of his batting is his very relaxed posture.....Also he plays pull shot very well.......he also has big shots in his armery....He took a good catch when keeping....He seems decent with glovesWith dhoni becoming liability to ODI team, is this guy ready for top job?
rkt.india Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 He was the highest run getter in Vinoo Mankad trophy scoring 360 runs at an SR of 154. HE can be destructive. HE has just curbed his game due to the seaming conditions and played steadily today. Shivaji bhonsle 1
Adi_91 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Also, he has a problem outside the off stump I guess. And he looks to me to be always playing from the crease. I will not jump the gun and want him a place in the senior side this early. sandeep 1

Going by Pant's recent scorecards he seems to be a quick scorer at the top. Edited January 30, 2016 by JaFanatic
Debutant Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Looked very calm and relaxed in the crease. Was playing and leaving the ball well. Good footwork against the spinners. Looks good.
jusarrived Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 The two players who will make it to Indian team (LOI's) eventually imo is sarfaraz (been a fan for a while now ) and Mahipal lomror .Sarfaraz : A Dhoni replacement . Him and Hardik Pandya are the only talents I have been excited  in pat couple of years . I like the confidence , the game awareness & looks mentally very strong . This kid is ready to play for India .Mahipal Lomror :  Still early days , but I was surprised to see how similar his technique & stance was to Raina . Looks a very good timer who can develop into a good finisher may be .The bowling off course is what makes him a very good package . sandeep 1
MCcricket Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Impressed with his temperament, drives well n strokeplay

He just tries too many things sometimes. But, then he is young and I am sure he will mature and make it big for India.I was impressed with Lomror. You made a good point. He does remind me of Raina. BlueBee 1
express bowling Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Rishab Pant has a distinct weakness while playing on and around the off-stump. Â He has to rectify this.It was good to see that he is capable of curbing his natural instinct and playing sensibly when the situation demands.
tweaker Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Rishabh Pant starts his IPL auction with a bang.He should be able to carry his talent & should not fade away like Samson express bowling 1
sandeep Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Lomror is not getting the headlines or big bucks but I feel he is the better potential bat than Pant.  Pant may do well, but so far it looks like he's a bit of a leg-side bully.  Against u19 bowlers that might be fine, but at higher levels will be found out unless he can expand his game.  tweaker 1

Often....He sort of slices the ball while playing there. He is young and should be able to rectify this. These u19 guys are not finished products but are raw talent that need to be moulded. BlueBee Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Don't know why but my gut feeling says Ishan Kishan is the real deal.

rkt.india Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Lomror is the next biggest thing in making in Indian Cricket. tweaker 1

An ideal occasion though in the semis to come good. BlueBee and tweaker 2
Shivaji bhonsle Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Lomror is the next biggest thing in making in Indian Cricket. Agreed. Very strong boy. Reminds me a bit of Warner.
