The News channel Times Now has been penalised by News Broadcasting Standards Authority Rs 50,000 for not maintaining neutrality while airing the interview with Sarabjit Singh, accused in Jasleen Kaur eve teasing case.

The NBSA has also directed the channel to carry an apology on 22 March on “full screen in large font size with a clearly audible voiceover in slow speed expressing regret for the said telecast.”

According to the NBSA directive, Times Now is required to broadcast the following apology;

Jasleen Kaur, allegedly a member of Aam Aadmi Party, had accused Singh of eve teasing while waiting at a traffic junction in Delhi in August last year.

It is apology that matter, they even were focusing on bystanders and telling that these monsters did not help the girl, that episode of times now was worse than khap panchayat

May be this is just begining , media should be held accountable for what they are doing

How about a fine and apology from AAP and it's members for jumping the gun and Jasleen Kaur for engineering the whole case , playing a fake victim. ?

The case is still pending in court so why will they apologise, it was media's fault to declare verdict even without enquiring about truth and using words like potential rapist.

Also all parties support their workers  , it is media that never give importance to other party worker making allegation
